Cornwall improves from high to low HIV rates.
Cornwall now has one of the country's lowest rates of HIV infection - a decade after one of its towns had the highest rates in the country. One in every thousand people in Cornwall is living with HIV.
New figures from Public Health England show that the county now has one of the lowest infection rates in the country.
Last year, it was revealed there had been a 33% increase in the number of people living with HIV in Cornwall since 2010 and this prompted Cornwall Council to urge anyone who thought they might have come into contact with the virus to get tested.
